  • The Srfnli point is solid, not front or back but adjust according to the waves. But that is if you are surfing one board a lot and not jumping around learning, relearning and forgetting what to do with what board under what conditions. The best advise I got from Ron Shine aka SunShine is to find a board you like and surf the sh!t out of it in all conditions. Pick a board you really want to surf well and LEARN TO SURF on it.  Sure that's easier said then done but I think its sound advise.

And how many boards to you own right now? ;)
So heavy you can't even pick it up.

When you divvy up his and Shark's boards, it really isn't as bad (BB's BAS: Board Acquisition Syndrome) as it initially appears. When Happy and I merge our surfboard collections, the overlap of ugly thrusters from the 1980s is gonna be laughable. BTW, Boyee, when was the last time you rode that single fin of yours?

So heavy you can't even pick it up.

  • depends on the template, wide point, foil, etc.

fin configurations (with one obvious exception) are not intrinsically forward or backward.  quad fish are forward, quad shortboards backward.  lazer zap (single fin) backward, 70s lightning bolt singles forward.  and so on.  the exception is a bonzer configuration--that's a rear footed design.

  • 10 boards, but SS think she owns some of them, I don't know what that's about.  :o

I def. prefer thick and wide board lenth doesn't really matter as much to me  :-*. Some people call that front footed I just call it perverted.

Actually the point I tired to make is first you gotta LEARN TO SURF, and by that I mean more then just catch a wave and stink bug your way across it looking all over the place to make sure your friends are watching you. I feel I worked out 90% of this in my surfing so far.

Second and I would like to hear from some of the rippers on this (btw RD, when he is in the Zone Rips) Once you learn to surf, you'll find what you prefer to surf. normal Thruster, Chip, Fish, twin etc.  Like I said I like them Thick and Wide even if that means I get into the wave a little later. So unless it's really small I am out on my Quad, Twin, or Single. They all feel different but for the most part ride the same.  I don't have to adjust too much between them.

Oh Boyeee only ride the HIC without a wetsuit.
