• Nice little swell this weekend.  Fat and sweet on the high tide Sat, and gently hollow on the low tide this am.  Toasty with a 4-3 in spite of the howling offshores.  Big diff in west to east breaking in LB with this ESE swell.  It was nice in my back yard with 15 guys on the main peak and just me on the second peak.  Sure the waves were half as frequent, and half as long, but they were all mine. :)

  • Pretty fun waves this weekend, notwithstanding a little drift and wind. I was dialing in a new board, so that's always fun.

I, however, froze in my hoodless 4/3 on Saturday and resorted to a hooded 5/4 yesterday. With temps in the 40s ... and wind also in the 40s (!!) ... I was pretty comfy.

I think I'm not ready for winter temps, yet. All this good summer surf seems to have softened me up.  :P

  • Saturday afternoon was alittle frustrating with the high tide.  The wind made me feel like I was hitting the breaks if I stood up tall.

  • I didn't get it Sunday morning, wish I had. Saturday was hard work, but fun. Ran out of gas from trying to hold position - and the drops were strange as the wind tried it's best to push me off. All in all, though, it was fun and I want MORE.

  • First time in the water for almost month due to injury.  Basically went from being toasty in a short sleeve full suit the last time I was out (early oct) to 4/3 with a skull cap on and freezing while getting undressed on Sun.  Welcome to winter!!  Motivated to plan topical trips asap..

  • Ufff, saturday was fuun. Love those rainy sessions...Embarrassed to admit I wish I wore boots, had nubs upon beach dispersal.
