I did this a couple of years ago across July and August, and it worked out pretty well for me. For anyone that wants to join in, the rules are simple.


1. Every day, for 60 days straight, do SOMETHING. Anything. Any type of exercise is acceptable.


That's it!


For me, it's going to be mostly a mix of surfing and running, with some weightlifting days mixed in, and the occasional day here and there where all time will allow is a couple of sets up pushups, crunches and burpees. Yeah, I know, it's not exactly P90X, but it is VERY flexible and I remember the last time, I felt WAY better when I was done!


I'm starting the thread a little late since I'm already 5 days in, but anyone who wants to join me can start their 60 days at any time - so who's in?? Anyone? Everyone? Track your progress right here in this thread!

    July 5, Day 5: Surf + 6 mile run


    5 straight days of surf is a helluva great way to kick this off, especially with how much fun yesterday and esp today was. Probably going to go easy on myself a bit tomorrow, between 2 surf sessions and 6 mile run, I'm pretty damn achy - happy, but achy!

  • July 11, Day 11: Needed to rest a bit - took a looong walk, though - 5 miles.
    July 12, Day 12: 3.2 Mile run (28 minutes flat - not bad for a slow guy); then surfed the most micro of micro waves for an hour.

    Went to San Diego early in August and it all came unraveled from there. But to that point, I was actually doing very well! At one point before the San Diego trip, I ran a timed 5K event in personal record time.


    Time to get back on track - I think I'll start tomorrow with a surf session.  ;D
