  • Does anyone know if any of the local parochial schools or houses of worship have an open gym night for pickup basketball? If so, would anyone be interested in running full court one night or two a week?

  • Basketball is like ramp/bowl/vert skating for me now, every time I do it i get injured.....
first thing that happens is I jam a finger catching a rebound or hard pass, then I can't play guitar for a couple weeks. I won't do it. It's fun, but I won't do it.
It's no better to be safe than sorry....

  • I love Aviator but the toll is bitch. The gym there is awesome. If they have another $350 a year membership I will probably sign up, the toll be dammed. Btw the YMCA is humming along. It should be open this time next year.

Frankly they should do away with one of the ice rinks and turn it into a pool, then they'd be covering all the bases & be packed.

Eff basketball, I want to play water polo again. NY sucks for pools of any kind.

The Brooklyn Sports Club pool at Starrett City is a weird length.  I think it is 100' rather than 75' of a 25 yd pool.  It gives a good workout and damn when you get into a 25 yd pool again, it's kinda WHOA where did that wall come from.   ;D
