  • NYC DEP Green Infrastructure Grants[/b][/size] [size=10px !important][/size][/color][/size][size=10px !important]Up to $3,000,000 will be provided in 2011 for green infrastructure projects within combined sewer overflow (CSO) areas in NYC.  A grant workshop will be held on Feburary 28, 2011 to answer questions about the grant, and applications are due on April 1, 2011.Private property owners, businesses, and 501(c)(3) organizations are eligible for funding projects that use green infrastructure to reduce or manage stormwater on (1) private property or (2) public sidewalks, including the curb, where abutting owner is the sole or co-applicant.Projects must:be completed within a year from the construction start date;reduce the quanitify of stormwater entering the combined sewer system (i.e. capture and retain the 1st one inch of rainfall or greater); andreduce impervious surfaces in the City.For details, go to:http://www.nyc.gov/html/dep/html/stormwater/nyc_green_infrastructure_outreach.shtml[/size]

    It would be great if some of the grant money landed in projects that involve the Rockaway peninsula....
