  • During my honeymoon in Maui in 2007 I surfed a spot called guard rails. After surfing I was in the lot and noticed an FDNY sticker on a truck of a big Hawaiian guy that was out there too. I asked him about it and he said he was a firefighter in Maui, I told him that I was at ground zero for a few days as a police officer and that my cousins are FDNY. He told me he had 2 guys that just transferred there from FDNY. The next day I went to buy a shirt from the firehouse. I was telling the FF that was there about meeting a guy that was surfing the day before. he told me the guy was the captain that ran the whole station #3 in Maui. Everyone was so cool in Maui and we found a spot called Koki beach along the road to Hana, mostly good looking girls surfing and not crowded. I hope to go back someday!
