  • where exactly in seaside heights can i surf? any restrictions? i want to drive down there today but i dont want to go as far as LBI since it is going to be late in the day thanks

  • I think it's safe to presume standard summer lifeguard rules apply. ie you're golden anywhere after 5 when the guards go off duty.

    Given that you're out to get wet today best bet would be to call some of the Seaside/Tom's River surf shops to see if they can direct you more specifically.

  • Agreed I'm not really sure of the rules up there. Only surfed after hours. That said hope you're bringing a log, its pretty small today. Water is beautiful though, clear and warm.

  • Hope this isn't too late, but you can surf north of the casino pier during day hours. But the rules changed in Seaside Park and you can FINALLY surf between swimming beaches if it isn't a holiday weekend and its crowded. I remember you were stuck surfing the designated beach and when it was good, or moderate for that matter you would get 200 dudes in the water stretching a block and a half long surf beach... lots of dinged boards.  ::) >:(
