  • Everything on the homefront is fine (Shark River Hills) and there is one road closed near work, but everything else is fine.  I went down to Avon last night to check out the inlet and the L jetty.  It was breaking straight across the jetty at high tide.  The bay was the highest I've seen it in a while too.

It looks like it is cleaning up out there now and I can't wait to get out of work tonight and get wet.  I am hoping for a dawn patrol session tomorrow AM.  Sucks that it will be a high tide, but there are a few spots near me that should be working just fine.

  • Just checked the whole area around here (Avon-Squan)...about 10 people out total, not much riding going on though.  Thinking of hitting the incoming in about 2 hours.

  • the usual monmouth beach high tide flooding this am, its fine now. Waves look good. Kinda steep and closed out. I'd hit a (the) place that handles the N/NW action. Not sure I'd be so quick to go in though -- a winter's worth of dog poo  - thats from my yard alone -  is now in the watershed

I had a great time last night too.  I was on the later side so I got stuck with a fatter tide, but there were plenty of good ones to be had.  Checked it this morning and it looked like crap.  Maybe another clean up for tonight.  We will see.

  • Pretending I didn't have a flu didn't make it go away unfortunately.
After a day of Mom-sitting and playing referee with our dogs, I was happy to be kicking it under the pier with my camera last night. It looked sooooo good, if I was up to it I would have gladly braved dog poop (wouldn't be the first time that day unfortunately  :'() to get some of that goodness.
