At a meeting at Manasquan Borough Hall last night, a petition to open an additional 100 yards of surfing beach was unanimously passed thanks to the efforts of Curran Fallon, Bob Duerr and others who came in in support!

As always, the issue was and is one of SAFETY due to the overcrowded conditions, and the surfers that were present made their voices heard. This demonstrates once again how well intentioned, organized groups can and do effect change when change is needed.

Congratulations to all involved - hopefully your efforts result in a better summer this year and for many years to come in Manasquan, and your successful efforts encourage others to get involved and look for similar common sense changes in towns across LI and the Jersey Shore.
