Sunday April 26th, 2015

I see Spring coming...it's time for our Old School Board Swap. After a super cold winter, filled with 20 degree days, 34 degree water temps, snow and many swells, it's time for a true sign of Spring! This tradition draws more and more people each year with surfers from 10 states showing up. Somewhere in the neigborhood of 200 boards out in front, around the side and in back of the shop. ...it's a really cool, COMMUNITY event that I look forward to every Spring and Fall. It's a really great time with great people!

Spread the word and get there for this great event! I've gotten a couple of boards there over the years.  ;D ;D

The focus is on "Vintage" riders from the 60s, 70s and 80s...lately we've extended things to include modern day longboards, alternative and solution boards as well. We'll get some classic skateboards and some surfing memorabilia from time to time. It attracts all types from collectors, surfers, long-time members of the surfing community and people that just love the SURF CULTURE. We'll have some food and drink...Jimmy from Harpoon Willys usually brings the food & Harry usually brings the coffee.

It's different than other "Board Swaps" because we just supply the place and the atmosphere for the event to happen. We don't take any money or force you to take store credit for what you've sold. It's another event that we, at the Beach House put together to continue to build a Surfing Community in our neck of the woods...that's what it's all about; surf culture.

Yup- verified, I went last fall. Lot's of people brought rad boards, a lot of stuff seemed to move and trade.
Such a nice crew and the rafters of the shop will have you drooling.
