  • I dont like the flex fins, what kind of waves are you planning to ride the board in?  7.5 is to long of a fin i would think 6.5 yater push it up in the box to make it loser and push it back to give it hold in the pit.

  • greenough 4a  works great in every board.  i think the smallest they make is a 7" so I would try that.  the tip is narrow so it surfs like a shorter fin.  they say they flex, but they are real stiff so I don't buy it.

I will see what the shortest 4a I have is and you can borrow it to take it for a spin if you want.

  • negative.  highly dislike the greenough 4a.  have one for sale if anyone wants it.  not a good fin for a shortboard.  you'll feel the flex when you square off the bottom on a solid one, and not in a good way.

typical LB beachbreak, probably take it out on a walled up day. i forgot i have a 7" fcs soul arch in another board that i'll give  go.

  • Honestly dude. I think you should use a 7.5" or even 7" Wayne Rich Power fin and set it a bit further back than you'd usually set it. You don't want too much of a flex fin for a board like that. Its more of a short 70's single fin then a stubbie hull.

You can always ride a greenough 4A that usually works but a stiffer fin is the way to go on this one.

Feel it out see what you think. I have an 8" 4A you can try if you'd like.
