From what I've heard, once you pass the 10' mark, it becomes more an issue of width, not length.  12' should be fine for anyone if it's like 30" wide.

The foam block is 12" thick.  Cut laterally, that would yield two blocks 6" thick.  The question then is, can the 6" thick block yield the desired rocker.  I don't know the answer to that question, but if Mark says it is so, then it is so.

You guys should make a 10' x 28 x 4 1/2 but make it a giant double bumb quad fish. It would give the beast a little more maneuvarablility with the bumps. I don't know what everyone weighs but 4 1/2 inches seems pretty adequate.

From what I have read the Clark 12' 3" blank has good rocker for an SUP. Can't figure out how to get the image off the p.d.f so I can post it.

Most of the tandem/SUP boards are in the 4.5" - 5" thick range, and with 13" thick blank you should get two boards out of it. There isn't much rocker you need, just the nose lift is important.

There is a GREAT article here by this old bloke who just started surfing after he retired....kinda goes to show that retirement isn't a dead end like some people tend to think....I just wished I was one of the lucky ones to retire early...this guy has a great life....

Mike Becker got back to me. He has EPS copies of the Clark 12' 8" that he sells for $250. We would have to pick it up tho'. I think he is out near Riverhead.
