  • Who is out there making a living off of ding repair?

If I give Uncle a 12-pack of Michelob to fix a broken fin box, does that count?

  • Proper ding repair is such an unappreciated and under compensated art.

  • It sucks to drive out there, but I wouldn't take an epoxy repair to anyone other than Mike Becker

  • I'd rather build an entire board than fix dings.  I'll do dings for family and friends but that's it.

No matter how hard you train, it all comes down to confidence.

  • Zero interest in shaping my own board because the end result from my first effort will inevitably be an oblong brick with a shoddy glass job.
So heavy you can't even pick it up.

  • I really only like to do my own stuff, but usually have a friend or relative hit me up a few times a year. If I was retired with a good savings, and a heated shop space, I would do some more.. but cheap'O glass job China boards. They are pretty hard to fix properly. I would turn away lots of work and suggest people just buy a new board!

It would be a money loosing proposition...
