  • Have been using green-light surf supply for years, they do not carry marko foam blanks. Really trying to green up my next few years of backyard hack shaping, anyone know of local distributors in the tri state where the blanks are easily accessible.

  • Seems like the only east coast distributors are in NC and MD

  • Yea saw that was seeing if anyone was running a bootlegging operation moving them up the coast. Curious that green-light has not started distribution of these yet.

Shipping may suck but I have always liked the service received from Foam EZ.

  • It might be a conflict of interest with greenlightsurf US blanks or their own brand of foam.
I would say let's order in bulk but I have to shut my bay down while we lift the house.
I hear that it is great to shape with, really tight beads and low ripping.
..Whore it to death then sell the corpse on Craigslist... (used to be Ebay but eff Ebay and Paypal)

  • Heard similar on the product. Curious to use some bio resin, after all these WSL mandates on eco-friendly boards possible, its the direction its going to head in plus carcinogens suck. Also would love to pick the brains of the guys at the new grain shop, sans the $1200.00 fees lol.

Also agree hoping US blanks rolls out something similar with all the possible rocker templates they have would be a eco-friendly shapers nirvana.

  • I've ordered ahead from greenlight and got a us blanks super-fused eps blank.  Really nice stuff. Shapes much more like poly than the block cut eps.  Just ask green light when they are putting a bulk order in. At the time they were very accommodating. I also shaped a log from recycled poly and I wouldn't have known the difference between that and virgin material.  Epoxy on poly works just fine btw.

Although its not technically carcinogenic be just as careful with epoxy resins.  You can develop severe allergic reactions to it and inhalation can cause liver damage.

  • Awesome points, good to see the shaping community is alive and well, took some time off. Putting up a new post as well about shaping space, would love to see a community shaping area develop out east. Just some ideas though, everything ends up being a pipe dream on long island.
