  • Some of you may have witnessed my sweet move on Saturday when my board slipped out of my hand and in trying to grab it I slapped it deck-down onto the boardwalk...and then I posted in the "Repair Room"...

Anyway, thanks to the tailpad the damage wasn't as bad as it could have been.  There are some hairline cracks in the sealer coat just behind the nose, but thats it.  My question is, what should I do about it, if anything?

    Thanks in advance!

  • I'm not even sure it would show up in a picture on the Web.  It has several thin *hairline* cracks.  I'm sure the glass isn't damaged--just the sealer coat.  I guess this means it's probably still watertight.  I'm just wondering if it could get worse over time, or if ther is any way to repair the sealer coat only.

    So true.

Sir G;  If water is not penetrating.................leave it alone.  If it turns yellow (ish) take it down to the glass and reapply a top coat.  Or better yet, take it to the bodega.
