  • Claude that cat told me to go shorter then I first templated.
Been working from home so I not only talk to the cat a lot, I actually listen to his advice..

5,4 by 22.5 by not sure yet...
Twin fin with trailer, and the wings might get pavel'ized and rounded
    Same with the diamond tail
    I like round things...

  • Looks fun!!!!

    GO with five boxes!

Twin + trailer works great but I'm finding with such a short rail line quads are nice too.

I want to do the same again but with a fat thumb tail or diamond like yours.

  • Looks rad.
Template reminds me a bit of a fart knocker I saw last weekend and am still kicking myself I didn't buy.

  • I wouldn't install either Future or Lockbox fins without buying their install jigs. I don't know how much Lokbox charges, but the futures kit is very pricey ($200 when I last looked). If you're gonna keep doing it and some of the guys who share the space will chip in, then you could share the cost, but I remember being kind of shocked at how expensive the futures kit is.

  • Lokbox jig is wicked expensive. FCS is cheaper I think.

  • FCS is around $79 for the fusion system
    jig and a router bit
\\,\\\\\\\\\\\ thats that...not to bad as the jig is nice..

Futures, Fusions, loc, all have to be put in before the glassing too BTW

The tail is actually pretty thin on this one
might have to be glass ons..

And where is the flourecent pink paint going to go ..hmmm

  • all boxes can go in after glassing, you just need to put patches over them after you install them. They actually go in after on all tints or opaques, you can put them in first but rarely come out looking clean that way...

  • Let me try to make this more complicated:
    Probox
Unfortunately the fin selection is VERY poor, though I think if you wanted to get something in particular you could contact the gents in kauai, and wait a long time.
    Plusses:
THe instal kit is dirt cheap
    Installation is extremely easy.
And, because the fin angle is created with an insert in the box you could potentially make your own fins without the difficulty of having to make an angled base.  Haven't tried this last part myself but I cant see why it would be much more difficult than making glass-ons.

  • Im humbled..
Good to know, very good to know..

Now would also be a very good time to say this is Factions template by the way.
Modified in length rocker and thickness, but taken from a crude pencil shape of a Faction Simms..

  • PS.
Looks great!  I'd lie to hear what you went with for dims, including rocker.  Bottom contours?  Can't believe you have glass on that already.
