I have hilarious memories of Dylan during the ESA days as a grom in the 90's throwing temperature tantrums during heats. But then again, I'm sure all of us as groms threw a fit every now and then...  Even as grom though, he was outspoken and slightly overconfident. But he definitely backed it up with some decent surfing. Overconfidence and braggadocio is often a mask for insecurities.

Is it just me or does it feel like Will keeps getting snubbed in the heat recaps? He's charging, yet they rarely mention him at all in the heat recaps.

SMASH Productions & Picture Farm Gallery is pleased to announce the run of show for It Doesn’t Not Work III:Pushing The Outer Limits of Pure Surf Design. The Exhibit will kick off Saturday, May 14th, 4PM at Picture Farm Gallery (338 Wythe Ave, Brooklyn, NY). Local surfboard shapers, hobbyists, creative individuals and such will be on hand displaying their latest creations & oddities.  The general public will have the opportunity to engage all these surfboard designers on their concepts and gain insight into the creative process of shaping surfboards.
It Doesn’t Not Work is a surf craft design event that explores the process of the art & craft of surf-riding design and a presentation of experimental shapes, work-in-progress projects and tried-and-true formulas.

Hynd said we had one of the more core communities out there. He was stoked on the crew that came out.

MARCH 16TH, 2015 Brooklyn, NY: After an incredibly successful first year, SMASH Productions, Picture Farm Gallery are stoked to announce submissions are now open for the second installment of It Doesn’t Not Work Surfboard Show. 
 
It Doesn’t Not Work is a surf craft design event that explores the process of the art & craft of surf-riding design and a presentation of experimental shapes, work-in-progress projects and tried-and-true formulas.
 
This is a call out to all local shapers, garage, backyard and professional, to submit their wildest and most experimental boards, alaias, handplanes, paipos and as-yet-to-be-named experiments for display and symposium at Picture Farm Gallery starting April 24th,25th & 26thth.
 
Display your failed concepts and accidental discoveries. It Doesn’t Not Work seeks to lift the hood on surfboard experimentation and design. Boards that are proven to work, boards that are proven to not work and the thought process that lead from one place to another.
 
Send us your designs: Submissions of an original shape or a unique construction that you have built yourself. Extra points if you've built more than one, have revised the design and can show the evolution!
 
Submissions: Go to http://itdoesntnotwork.com/submission/ to submit your wave riding apparatus. Submissions end April 10th, 2015. Please include images of each entry and please be sure to include a description of the design.
 
It Doesn’t Not Work will be a weekend pop-up event filled with conversation and mind expansion and will include a film screening, prizes and beer!

RIP Mike Tabeling. East Coast surfing legend and historian. He broke ground and helped to put east coast surfing on the map. He was a true gentleman and an incredible surfer. His legacy lives on with his website that documented the history [/size]of East Coast Surfing. Mike Tabeling had been documenting the history of East Coast surfing up until he passed away.
