Yeah, wow, some of you are gangster.  Granted, the 7mm gloves were way too hot this last weekend and the hood can go, but no gloves at all?  Hot damn.  No thanks.

Entwistle/Moon... most likely to solo through the whole song.  Both of them.  At the same time.

So I went for another am surf and just noticed upon my bathroom visit that my urine was green.  Coincidence?  Iv'e had green poop before but never green pee...........just sayin.

Green pee works great for cleaning booties.

Yeah, I tried to conceal the tears as my first class of 3rd graders was coming in.  They probably think I'm insane.

Love the woman @ 2:25.  So good.

Sorry if this is a repost.

i'm trying to help a truckload of food and supplies find a good unload/distribution point in rock or LB; ETA around noon tomorrow - please post if you have suggestions.

Rockaway Beach Surf Club B87th Street.  PM me if you need info.

I know this is a like a band-aid on a missing limb, but maybe if anybody needs anything specific, they can post it here.  There are a lot of people who want to help, I'm sure, but don't even know where to start... I'm sure that goes for people trying to clean up right now--where to even begin.

But I can offer a hand, tools, etc, if people need them, and I'm sure other people can, too.

This brown trout is crazy.  My thoughts are with all of you in Rock, LB, etc.

Those of us who surf but don't live there need to pull together to help in any way we can.  Not sure how this can happen right now when it's still so acute, but if anyone wants to PM me, maybe we can get something together.

Be well.

I love fishing including sharking, but boogieman is way wrong.  Take what you can eat and let the rest go.  Targeting a species to reduce their numbers is foolish.

I will be targeting tuna and swordfish this weekend.  Hope to have fresh fish for dinner Sunday night.   ;D
It's not foolish if it saves lives. It WILL SAVES LIVES. That's not wasting anything. You're culling a herd for a specific reason. Also, It's just a fish! Way below the level of intelligence of a rabbit. A very simple primitive creature. It has not emotions or feelings like a mammal does.

Maybe they're culling us for a specific reason.

This is great news.  I've been searching for a vaguely metrosexual, skintight mock turtleneck with a logo to wear while surfing.

Hopefully it comes in royal blue--NOT NAVY--to match my aqua socks.

i don't care how you got here.  i don't care about kook vs. newbie vs. hipster vs. whatever.  i don't!  we somehow stumbled upon this pastime where we take these pieces of foam to the OCEAN, and then somehow magically STAND UP ON THEM ON THE WATER.  we ride on them!  holy brown trout.  it's crazy.

be thankful.

The fact is, everytime it rains hard, CSOs are doing this times the cities 600 outfalls. If you surf after a heavy rain in rock, lb, or nnj you are exposed to some nasty stuff. Not saying go swim in this at all but WQ is a huge issue that needs more attention.

Agreed.  Hopefully the Army Corps of Engineers can get their NY Harbor oyster project up and running really, really soon.  I think the NY Harbor school is assisting... and speaking of which, what an awesome high school.  Wish I had been able to go there.
