Trying to clean house a bit and putting a few up for sale.  All dimensions are off the top of my head, so they may be wrong.  This will be the first round of boards and depending on how it goes, there may be more.  All the vintage boards I want to keep until after the first weekend in October for a vintage surfboard display tent at the Race of Gentlemen (http://www.theraceofgentlemen.com/).  You can feel free to buy now if you let me use them for the display that weekend.  I will work on getting photos up in about a week.

I don’t know all the dims of the boards and will not be pulling them out to measure everything.  You want to come check them out, I am in Wall, NJ near Belmar.  Real easy to get to.

 1.      12’3” Wegener Paulownia Sunday Model $2500
 2.      11’0” Clichι Glider $675
 3.      9’10” Wegener Paulownia Signature Model $2250
 4.      9’6” Bing Pig (Modern) $750 – large logo, white panels on deck, wood fin.  Mint.  Surfs well but I have it on the wall.
 5.      7’10ish Tak Flo Egg  $475
 6.      6’0” Bing Swee Pea Quad $500
 7.      5’11” Parrish Channel Bottom Pintail $375, yeah, the red one that’s been for sale for a while
 8.      5’4” Bing Puck $450

Vintage boards that will be available after the first weekend in October.  I want to keep them for the surfboard display tent.
 1.      9’9” Vintage G&S SS Model $700 – clean rider, modern fin box
 2.      9’8” Con CC Rider $900 – clean rider, wonder bolt fin
 3.      9’4”? Duke Pop Out $300 – beat up, wood fin
 4.      9’3” Vintage G&S Hot Curl Pintail – needs some work, waveset fin with chunk missing – $450
 5.      8’6?” Vintage Bing Lightweight – needs some work, waveset fin box trashed, no fin  $375
 6.      6’8ish Vintage Dusty Rhodes – needs work $200
 7.      70’s Bing Bonzer  $350  sealed up nice by Austin

Oh yeah, and if I bought any of the above boards off you and you want them back, they are yours for what I paid for them.  I don't remember what I paid for most of them, so PM if you want them back or have any issues with the prices.  I am not a flipper or trying to make a buck.  Just buy more than I sell and have too many.  All prices are OBO but depending on how much I want to keep the board will determine how flexible I am on the price.

Absolutely no trades!! (unless the trades are really cool boards or vintage ford flathead speed parts)  Don't "need" to sell anything just making room and putting some more cash in the hot rod fund.

The Recovery Room / FEMA Advisory Base Flood Elevation Maps
« on: December 15, 2012, 12:29:26 PM »
Below is a link to the Advisory Base Flood Elevation (ABFE) Maps published this morning.  This will be standard for rebuilding until the final FIRM maps are complete late summer 2013.  The FIRM map formal approval process should take about a year, so most towns will follow the ABFE until late 2014.  The ABFE should be slightly higher, so if you build to that elevation you should be fine when the FIRM Maps come out.

http://fema.maps.arcgis.com/home/webmap/viewer.html?webmap=2f0a884bfb434d76af8c15c26541a545

Edit:  Looks like the ABFE for New York aren't posted yet.  Probably in the next week or two.

Marioville! Sports, Politics, Humor and more... / Why Attack Success?
« on: August 07, 2012, 09:58:30 AM »
I am not very political and am still forming my opinion on the election, but one thing has me puzzled.  Romney in a recent interview made a comment about people attacking success and dividing the country.  I forget the exact quote, but it was something along those lines.  Regardless of what side you are on, it made me think.

Growing up for me, it was always "Work hard and you can better yourself and your family".  I know I will never have millions in the bank, but I know if work hard I can improve my financial situation.   Is this no longer the case?  If someone works hard and make a few extra bucks along the way, does that make them a "bad" person?   There are still a lot of legit, ethical, caring, hard working and successful business men and women out there.
