Snapped my board on my first paddle out, didn't even get a taste. Sat on the beach and watched with wet hair.
At least the sun came out.

That's what they call me at the meetings I go to in church basements where everyone is anonymous.

Yeah epoxy is a pleasure to work with, no fumes and you don't have to use laminating and then sanding resin. They have great resin that sands well once it cures. You can knock any lumps
down with a surform while it is still green. Make sure you use alchohol instead of acetone to clean the surface.

Sounds like the board is a surftech if it looks like a beer cooler inside. Regular resin will melt the foam
so you have to use epoxy. You can buy it at Sounds like it is fixable to me.

Got two good hours in this morning but had to tear myself away so that I could pic up my daughter.
I love being a dad but sometimes......

Poly. resin will not melt the epoxy but it will melt the styrofoam that the board is made with.

Started surfing in January this year in an old 5/4/3 that I got from a friend for $50. First two times out both my hands went numb. I thought that was just the deal untill I found holes in the gloves. I have been out at least once a week since then and spent a week surfing every day out east. I have been lurking here and on the other board because I don't have a lot of experiance yet. I have made three boards though so I can post in the shaper room. I am a wood worker so making  boards has been easier for me than learning to surf. Married with a 5yr old daughter so I tend to hit and run at Rock.
