hi - ltns

I sent you a note, but Jose surf looks pretty great on Tuesday!!

good advice here.  you really are tackling one of the tougher skills, so i'd advise to be patient with yourself.  you can also try easing into it by working the tide.  there are spots that i've surfed that are just unmakeable (at least for someone of my skill level) on low tide for example.   So on a dropping tide, it may start easy then get progressively harder until it gets to the point that i either wait for the next time, go to work, or ditch the board and put on some fins.  hope it helps and keep us updated on your progress.

I recently sent some fragile stuff (not boards) on greyhound with success.

Hi gang!

I was just reading an article and it reminded me of you all esp. Herr Longbörgenssen and our discussions about ethics and whatnot.  Anyway, just popped in to say hello and miss you all!

In case you're wondering - this is the article:

A mistake made by many people with great convictions is that they will let nothing stand in the way of their views, not even kindness.

yea, i think it's like you said.  depends on number of reps, how long, and what you're trying to accomplish i.e. aerobic or anerobic.

If you put a twist in the strap they don't vibrate. Kinda creepy when its too quiet. You keep thinking you lost em. The ones with only one strap are the worst. I don't know how to explain it but one strap goes through the rack the doors then around the boards. Junk.

i actually use socks rather than the twist which over long periods of time can leaed to fraying.  but yea, sometimes i like to hear a little something to know they're still up there.

haahaha - awesome stuff.  I always told Jill Weber that it was never a question of "if" but "when" the city would have to remove the sticks.  But I always prayed that it wouldn't take a life before the lawyers down at city hall woke up.  Anyway, I admit i do have a certain fondness for the sticks in the way that was represented in the article, but still - good riddance!

Taking a short road trip and need to bring a couple boards.  Any suggestions for decent reliable soft rack to strap on a SUVish rental vehicle?
