Buy and Sell: The Surfboard Exchange on NYNJSurf.com / Wtb kids wetsuits
« on: January 29, 2018, 07:11:25 PM »
I've been sourcing suits on eBay but if anyone has kids wetsuits to sell please let me know. We would be interested in a 3/2 that fits a kid who is 4'2" and growng :) We might need a spring suit too...last year's may fit or not, she's grown so much.

Just a feeler, looking for a traditional twin keel shaped fish but with fin boxes instead of glass ons. Sacrilege I know but I want to be able to travel with it. I'm really enjoying my beat up Walker twin with glass ons--great as a groveler and it really excels in larger waves as well. But when traveling as a family I can't imagine packing it up with 2 other boards.

5'6"-5'8" range, 33-36liters. Shorter is ok if the volume is there. I have a 29 liter roberts so don't need a low volume board and not interested in bigger boards nor do I like quads. TIA if anyone has anything post it up. I'm in Rockaway.

Looking for springsuit or 3/2. Our daughter is 45" and 45 lbs. We are in Rockaway.

Anyone have experience with either the T1 or AMT twin + trailer fins? I have a Roberts Diamond Fish that I've ridden as a quad (meh) and thruster (ok). I've read that the twin + trailer works great on this model, which makes me happy b/c this is pretty much the setup I like the most on other boards. Looking for any intel before I purchase a pricey set of fins (or get Crackie to buy them for my birthday).
Bear in mind I'm 5'8" and about 136 and the board is 5'5".
Mostly wondering which set might be better for me. I'm a very mediocre surfer  ;D  and don't like waves much beyond head high.

The AMT was designed by legendary Channel Islands creator, Al Merrick, for Rob Machado’s Robber model surfboard. The AMT generates maximum speed, drive and hold through big carves to perform around pointbreaks or lined up beach breaks. The AMT’s honeycomb material give this fin a medium flex pattern while the large area provides ample hold in powerful waves. The AMT includes a small trailer for additional stability and performance.

The T1 Honeycomb is Future’s twin-fin design for down the line drive, speed and smooth rail-to-rail feel that iconic twin-fin surfing is known for.  The T1 Honeycomb’s medium flex pattern offers a slightly softer flex pattern compared to the Fiberglass option, helping to generate additional drive in softer conditions and is equipped with a small trailer for stability through bottom and top turns.

I thought I was buying a kid's wetsuit, this was listed as "girls" on ebay. This is clearly a women's size 6 so it is up for grabs.
New without tags, $25 (half of retail).

I'm in Rockaway.

Posting this again with a price drop. $200 + $25 for MR fins
 6'0" blue Lost Aviso RNF.
This is a perfect travel board but it is too big for me. I'm only 135, this could float up to 200.
I'm selling it at this low price b/c the original owner had an unfortunate run-in with a rock jetty and the resulting damage had to be factory repaired. So the board is watertight (I have never seen a drop of water coming out of the repairs), rides perfectly, but is cosmetically not pretty at all. If you want an aviso but don't have the funds, here is your chance.
The board is in Rockaway Beach. Pix below.
I'm open to trades but please bear in mind that this board is too much volume for me. I like fishy things between 5'5" and 5'9."

i would love to hear from women about 5/4 hooded suit preferences. i've gone through 2 o'neills and am considering retiring a roxy 5/4. the neck area is ripping clear down the shoulder and pieces of the suit are just coming off. i may sew it (i already repaired the hood that my cat clawed) and just gut it out one more year. anyway, are there any women's suits that are decent? and that you can put on without breaking into a flop sweat and getting a boob stuck up by your ear? and then paddle in without feeling like you are in a straight jacket? and then get out of without wondering if you are going to injure yourself or suffocate in the process?

my favorite suit was the second o'neill. it was a back zip which you just can't find anymore in a 5/4. i loved it so much and the rear velcro attachment of the hood wasn't much of a flushing issue. far preferable to the ripping shoulder.

just want to acknowledge:

Looking at a 5'6" on CL. Any opinions, especially from those who have surfed with me? I usually ride a 5'8" twin keel, which is a little big for me, but hey, I'm getting old, or a 6'4" anderson pescado (hull/fish thing that Crackie and I share. It's my log.) I've never ridden a bonzer.
Wondering if it is a onefin board?

6'0" blue Lost Aviso RNF for $250, does not include fins. I will sell a set of fcs MR twins + baby trailer for an additional $25. You can also ride this with traditional tri fin set up.
This is a great travel board but it is just too big for me. It's too bad b/c I have enjoyed taking it to Barbados and not worrying about damage by the airline or the coral reefs  :)

The board is in Rockaway Beach. Pix below. All repairs are well documented, please excuse residual wax on tail.

Was at the beach at 103 today. Around 1, 1:30 we saw two dolphins surface and dive back down, repeating this as they headed west, and soon after there may have been at least 10 more following them. It was awesome. No photo evidence but even the little kiddies got to make an amazing memory of summer 2014!

Our daughter is turning 3 this weekend and it is time to purge some baby toys. We have wooden puzzles (animals, vehicles, etc), a wooden activity cube, plastic stacking blocks, baby legos, some soft books, etc. Toys range from barely used to seen better days but functional. We are in Rockaway Beach.
