the earthquake must be driving them in

I have been able to spend some time in S CA and La Jolla seems like a near perfect  place to live if you love the ocean/surfing.  I get that its expensive and the air/ocean never warms up too much in summer, as well as the earthquake, thing but can anyone (that has lived there) tell me if there are any real drawbacks to moving to La Jolla?

For any old LI players on board here (and you NJ geezers whose schools actually offered the game back in HS) - the weird local game you played an eternity ago in high school is growing fast.   Yes the game (outside local public schools of course - and I have to add in the great white north box rinks) still draws a certain privileged douchebag element but the entire state of Maryland is out of the D1 college tournament quarter finals for the 1st time this year and teams like Ohio State are surprising people by showing the world how its supposed to be done.  Games are all over TV and the web now (not even just on the Ocho either) if you want to tune in.  Check out that LI kid Pannell on Cornell, yeah he's too old for college but he is a beast regardless and fun to watch.

Did they peak too soon?  Do they have enough (positive) character to finish the Celtics and get the mojo working again for round 2? Advancing is all about hitting your shots now and these guys are ice cold.  The Knicks got way too far out in front of themselves mentally in the face of some old but always dangerous Celtic veterans.  My son renamed half the team last night (Carmisso, JR Miss, Jason RU Kidding me,---)  - it will be a shame if they don't recover this year.

there must be more than one or two LI/NJ surfers on here who played the creator's game somewhere in their derelict past? - the game has expanded and more parity is coming to college lacrosse (hopefully it reduces the college player/douchebag ratio too).  Tons of lacrosse on cable these days and the tournament is upon us.

Some great lacrosse games on ESPNU this weekend.  Army taking out Syracuse in double OT.  The never should have been there in the first places, Hofstra and Hopkins, get tossed aside. Stony Brook advances.  Notre Dame takes out Princeton behind their giant goalie from Wantagh and Delaware and N Carolina trade punch for punch the entire game.  Even that Virginia middie tool beating his ex to death couldn't overshadow the great play this weekend. Next weekend should be fun.

so we almost made it through another decade (wow you all are looking so old) so how do you think surfing has changed in the past 10 years and how do you predict that it will change in the next 10 years (you have a month to respond so think it through a little).

I heard this one as a studio track the other day and it was a truly beautiful listen but I' not sure the whole album (due to come out soon) will work - would you buy it or is it a shark jumper???
