Good morning!
This is probably a question that should be posted in the TDR room: does anyone know what the culture at Barclays Capital is like?

I'm trying to understand if it's a traditional i-bank culture (client focus, long-hours, no life outside of work). I'm also interested in knowing if it is indeed a traditional culture, are the people fun and excited - making it tolerable.

If anyone has done work with them or knows someone who works there, I'd be very interested in hearing about it.

Thanks y'all!

ATTACK: Family dog reportedly assaulted 2-year-old

BY APRIL AMADON/[email protected]

Lockport police are investigating an apparent attack by a pit bull on a small boy.

The 2-year-old is recovering at Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo after police say he was attacked and sexually assaulted by his family’s pit bull.

Police said the toddler was in his home on Washburn Street about 2 p.m. Sunday when the pill bull attacked. According to police, the dog sodomized the boy.

“The dog sexually attacked the kid and caused some pretty significant injuries,” said Lockport Police Detective Capt. Larry Eggert.

Eggert said the boy’s family members, who were reportedly home at the time, and neighbors had to beat the dog to get him off the boy.

The dog has been impounded at the Niagara County SPCA in Wheatfield as the investigation continues. Eggert said a veterinarian will be brought in to take DNA samples from the dog.

“(The vet will) compare DNA taken from the boy to kind of verify it happened,” Eggert said.

Eggert said everyone involved in the case was shocked by the bizarre happenings.

“I have never, ever heard of an assault quite like that,” Eggert said.

Niagara County SPCA Executive Director Al Chille said this case is an unusual one.

“I have had reports of adults having (sexual) relationships with animals, but not anything like that,” he said. “The majority of the calls we receive with regards to pit bulls are bite calls, not calls of this nature. We get a considerably large number of those (bite calls) from all over the county.”

Congrats to me!  I now have a very healthy, gray baby board!  He arrived in our home on Sunday, at about 5:30 pm - all 9'0" of him!  He's so long, its funny!  And I think he has his Mama's shape, but his Daddy's spelling skills.  His name is "Board-of-Bride", but you can just call him "Board-of"...just please don't call him B.O.  He doesn't like that. Hee hee... as soon as I can I will post a pic of my new little man.  I'm just so proud!

Psycho and I could not be more excited about this new addition to our growing family.  Thank you all for your support and advice.

Really now, this is my very first board that is NOT a hand-me-down!  YAY!  I feel like I'm really growing up ::)
Its a Timebomb Dominator and I plan on dominating with it - so watch out  ;D

Psycho emailed me, crying and upset about no waves. It was so sad...
So, Psycho my love, I didicate this song to you:

It won't be easy, you'll think it strange
When I try to explain how I feel
That I still need your waves after all that I've done
You won't believe me
All you will see is a surfer you once knew
Although he's dressed in his boardies
In rashies and bikinis with you

I had to let it happen, I had to change
Couldn't stay all my life down at Rock
Looking out of the window, staying out of the sun
So I chose freedom
Surfing around, trying everything new
But nothing impressed me at all
I never expected it to

Don't cry for me Ocean Wavo-s
The truth is I never left you
All through my wild days
My mad existence
I kept my promise
Don't keep your distance

And as for snowboarding, its just a game
I never invited it in
Though it seems to the world it was all I desired
It's an illusion
It's not the solution it promised to be
The answer was here all the time
I love you and hope you love me

Don't cry for me Ocean Wavo-s

Don't cry for me Ocean Wavo-s
The truth is I never left you
All through my wild days
My mad existence
I kept my promise
Don't keep your distance

Have I said too much?
There's nothing more I can think of to say to you
But all you have to do is look at me
To know that every word is true

Don't cry for me Ocean Wavo-s

I have a half hour to come up with a Holiday Party skit idea to be performed by my team at our Holiday party next week.  We only have one week to prepare and, I'm sure we won;t have much for a budget.

Any funny ideas?  BTW - I work in HR ;-)

Thank you all SO much for all you generosity as I campaigned for my cousin, Malena's fight against Leukemia! You helped me annihilate my goal of $1500.  Believe it or not, all of your support has helped me exceed my goal by 75%!!!

So far WE'VE raised $2,643.98!  Woooooooooooo Hoooooooooooo!!!!

...and I've still got one more day to go ;-)

I'm so excited to run this race, you just can't imagine.  Unless you can...then you know.  I will be thinking of all you on my run and seeing some of you along the way.  Most of all, I'll be thinking of Malena.  That sweet little kid has no idea how many friends she has.
Thank you all so much.

...effectionately known as "Ghetto train".
Does anyone hold hatred as strong as mine for this crazy train of filth?
...I doubt it - "hate" is a strong word, and I'm careful not to throw it around excessively... but I really do hate this train.

8 do what is necessary to breathe new life into what was once known as TDR!  I am committed to this extablishment - to unearth a new, diuturnal foundation at which we can ALL drown the sorrows of our work week.  Do I have to remind you all of how badly it SUCKS to be part of this risk-averse, non-entrepruerial, obsequious TEAM!  It SUCKS!  We need to drink alcohol to assauge the temptation to jump onto our desks, look over our plastic-plant-lined cubicle cabinet and scream:
"I will NOT run your lousy report you stupid non-beach person! Interpret THIS data, jackoff!  You can take your new initiatives and shove them where the sun don't shine because I don't want to move up your corporate ladder just to be hit in the head by your stupid glass ceiling that knocks me right into your dog & pony show, you dumb downsizing, down-timing, down-in-the-dumps micromanager!"

I will be the beacon your beacon... follow me to TDR....

(next week's lesson: "Mending Fences")

...At the Rock, in the city, TDR?  What?!

Colergero - Double feature of The Italian Job?

Kiritin Beyer is a photographer that comes to Rock sometimes.  She recently did some work with the Tsunami victims in India.  Check out this video & her message below.

Take a look at the link!

For have this piece on air at "Current TV" I need to
have everybody greenlight it. Under the display you
will find a "green" button please be sure to sign up
and greenlight it.
Yes, you do have to register for the site, but Current
has been cool  about that. I haven't received any

You can also let your friends and associates know that
the piece is available, and ask their helpas well. The
more greenlights I can get on this, and the sooner I
can get them the better its chances of moving on air,

Thank you for your help, kiritin
