Here's the "press release":

MOKU SURF TO HOST SECOND ANNUAL LONG BEACH LONGBOARD CLASSSIC
Surfing Enthusiasts of All Ages Will Compete on September 19, 2015

September 15, 2015 – Long Beach, NY – With its inaugural event so successful, Moku Surf will host its second annual Long Beach Longboard Classic on Saturday, September 19th. Through the generosity of dozens of local and national sponsors, the event will again raise much needed funds for the local charity TEAM ROBBIE BROWNE, a young local surfer paralyzed in a surfing accident.
Moku expects more than 80 contestants, ranging in age from nine to 65, to participate. Each will be scored by classic contest criteria such as nose rides, hanging ten, cheater fives, drop knee turns, fin first takeoffs, spinners, length of ride and cross-stepping style. Surfing Hall of Famer, Claude Codgen will be among the competition’s esteemed guests.

The Classic, which kicks off at 8 a.m. (with a rain date of Sunday, September 20th) on Long Beach Road, will coincide with the grand opening (DATE TO BE ANNOUNCED...) of MOKU Surf’s second New York location, 15 N Village Ave., Rockville Centre, New York. Several local bands ( AND SURPRISE GUESTS...) and D.J.’s will add to the festivities, as well wishers gather to cheer on their friends and family members.

MOKU Surf is the only Hawaiian style surf shop in the New York metropolitan area. It carries a large selection of classic and performance style long and short surfboards, fishes and hybrids, along with many clothing lines, unique gifts and accessories. Many of MOKU’s surfboards are hand shaped in Hawaii and there is a unique collection of vintage surfboards on display for the viewing public. Surf lessons and board rentals are also available for those who are new to the sport.
