Title: Sandy Charities
Post by: snaggletooth on May 18, 2015, 02:08:03 PM
If you know of any charities in Rockaway or Long Beach (or other Long Island towns) that are continuing to do good work related to hurricane sandy damage - can be helping to rebuild homes or environmental protection type work - please let me know. Are the grey beards still in action and doing sandy-related work?

Don't know them but have been impressed with what I read about them. Oddly enough, Fifty cent is doing a liquor launch at a local liquor store and it is benefitting them.

hahaha thanks Jammy. Yep, liked what i read so far, too. Also seem really well organized and well run, at least from what i've gleaned online. if anyone else knows anything about Friends of Rockaway or other LI-based Sandy oriented charities, please let me know!
