  • Anybody watching? Kinda awesome. Gabriel Byrne as an evil Viking lord. Focus is on the early Viking explorations to the west (e.g. England). Kind of cool, also, because my wife is teaching Beowulf right now.

After this week's episode, I went back and re-watched Severed Ways on netflix. Its the story of two Vikings abandoned in North America after their crew flees an Indian attack. Pure black metal fury on the soundtrack!

  • I started getting into this after reading your post- have been watching episodes online-- pretty cool- not hooked on it like I am on walking dead but I dig it. Always related to and respected the Vikings way more than Columbus.

  • Check out "Valhalla Rising". Starring Mads Mikkelsen. (Currently plays Hannibal Lecter on that NBC series. And played the baddie in one of the Bond Movies)
