Anyone venture out and surf in the fog this morning?

  • Not sure what it was like where all of you were, but I took a look early this morning.....and realized I couldn't see 10 feet. Kinda frustrating, because I think out there somewhere was a fun, well behaved wave.

Anyone have any luck anywhere else? Perhaps visibility is better now?

  • The cams are completely white, cant see a thing, but all the data points to "why am I at work, and not in the ocean???"

  • I set my family up for a proper morning and then checked it out at sundries. Couldn't see 50 feet but could see lefts coming in (their foam). Came home and sent them off to school. Bummed a bit.

  • Yeah, hit it about 7am. Pretty good, a little residual chop, probably got better with the tide.

  • Looking at the cams now - it doesn't look spectacular, but it def looks rideable. I'll take rideable - at least I wish I could. Grr...work getting in the way of surfing....grrrrrrr.  ::)

  • Yeah, was out there at "sunrise" this morning and had a blast at my go to high tide spot. More size/power than I was expecting.

  • Went out a bit after the fog lifted for a couple of hours.  Was a bit of work with the low tide drift, and a lot of close outs,  but really fun if you could pick the right one.   Only a few of us  out at NSS, spread out, so had no pressure hunting nuggets. Rode my new (used) 6'0" Hemi and felt like I had the right gear for the first time all winter so have that particular kind of "made lemonade" stoke.    ;D

  • Paddled out in the fog and sat where I thought was the outside. Wrong! Set came and cleaned me up.
