  • Heya - there's some swell headed your way.  I'm really not sure how exposed your particular break is and thus how well the W & WNW swell will wrap in; just made some guesstimates.  But once you can compare with reality, you can make relative judgements.

1   thu 1ft W at 8.3s / Fading waist high leftovers give way to late building new pulse with incrsg 7-16kt NW to NNW offshores.
2   fri 1-2ft WNW at 10.6s / Waist to chest high groundswell peaks mid-afternoon with 12-14kt NW offshores.
1   sat ocnl 1ft NW at 9.7s / Fading knee to waist high groundswell depending on wrap with dmnshg 11-8kt NNW to NW offshores.
1   sun 1-2ft ocnl 3ft W at 10.5s / New waist to chest ocnl head high W groundswell pulse shows by mid-morning and peaks late afternoon with incrsg 8-12kt SSE to SW onshores.
2   mon 1-2ft ocnl 3ft W at 10s / Consistent waist to chest ocnl head high groundswell with 9-8kt W sideshores becoming 10kt NW offshore late.
1   tue 1-2ft ocnl 3ft W at 10.9s / Lumpy and inconsistent waist to chest ocnl head high groundswell combo probably peaks early evening with 14kt SSW onshores becoming 16-14kt W sideshore afternoon.
0   wed 1-2ft WNW at 10.5s / Fading waist to chest high groundswell with building 11-20kt SW to WSW onshores becoming 26kt WNW offshore late.
Best bets   Fri 11a-5p, Mon 4p-8p

  • it could very well be significantly bigger.  i dont have the irish charts or bathymetry, just guessing about their swell window.

The "slightly better" statement was absolutely tongue in cheek. I'd kill right now for a forecast with a couple of 2's in it!  ;D

  • LN you rock. yeah the local forecast is supposed to be pretty good, i've got my fingers crossed. theres and atomic bomb of swell and wind forecasted for up the west coast from here, but most likely i'll be staying local and will hopefully getting a little sumthin. so far its only been long paddles to stay in shape, and a session of ankle snappers.
