is it early in the summer for LI to be flirting with 70F?

  • Been warm.  That and air temps in the mid 90's combine to make rubber not even a thought. That doesn't mean I didnt see numerous folks out there yesterday and today with 3m suits on.

I agree with @The Lone Surfer - totally normal. Warm, but totally normal for this time of year.

  • I was one of the num nums in a 3:2 the other day... I was in Morro Bay the day before that and it was so cold my leg cramped (had my 3:2 and winter booties). I figured it'd be safer to go with the suit in LB, but boy was I over dressed...

  • Was a little chilly out east the other day with the upwelling. Also people should know that they will be chuming for sharks all week, especially this weekend. Big fishing tournament stay away from the water.

  • Freezing in NJ this am. Only in trunks. And I'm still cold after a hot shower.

Yes, definitely cooler this morning than I was expecting here in western Nassau.
