  • I Have a bunch of used wetsuits i have no use of.
I have no idea how to recycle them. Is there a donation center? do they even take this kind of thing? ("here you go homeless person wear this 5/4 wetsuit it'll keep you warm"...? ((sorry don't mean be disrespectful..))).

    I'd appreciate any ideas!

  • Rip curl I think has a recycle program where they’ll take the suit and offer a discount on a new one.

  • I think Vissla is doing a similar thing right now, donate a suit and get 30$ toward a new one.

  • Have several laying around too. Tried to make a post giving them away here (they're actually all in pretty decent shape) but no interest.

  • Consider donating them to your local High School surf team! I think there are 14 schools in NJ plus Long Beach HS in New York, and the teams can either use the gear or perhaps sell of your stuff as a fundraiser for their events.

  • I have some old suits that are absolutely shredded, but I refuse to throw them away.  How are they recycled? I don't want them to end up in a landfill. I could fill a good sized box with all the old suits I have. But they are probably not worth the shipping costs...
