  • Worked in the shop at both REI Soho, and REI Carle Place. All certified techs, and good people not paid per diem so they actually take time and do repair right. This time of year get pretty busy so give a call ahead, also all the techs are certified not some high school kid hacking away on the wintersteiger.

  • Any pictures of the damage?

I managed the ski rental and repair for five years at Arapahoe Basin and have been tuning and repairing my own gear since Burton sold the Backhill from catalogs. A long f**kin time.

  • Oh awesome. Here's a picture of the damage: https://goo.gl/photos/jeChRXmbCgEdERao8

It's fairly deep and some of the core is exposed, but it's thankfully not at the edges.

  • can do it yourself with some epoxy. use denatured alcohol to get it really clean. fill on top with ptex. or just go have it base welded and ground.

  • I would want the core sealed up well. I am assuming the ski is pretty dry at this point? That is a bigger repair than just dripping some p-tex onto it.

  • Yeah, it's dry. Want some longevity out of these so may have to go for the pro repair route on this one. thanks.
