  • Is it me -- but is that the most funky coast line you have ever seen - I may be missing the sarcasm in the this thread all together, or I am too gullible to see it's been digitally messed with, or -- that's what the coast line looks like -- or all of the above.

  • it's called scalloping... it happens a lot with a big dumping shore break. Although it doesn't look all that dumping at the moment.
I think I've seen pictures of Hossegor that look similar.

  • Long ass paddle out to the lineup at that spot. I've been to Peru. It's a great value and extremely consistant. Knowing spanish, not minding cool water and the semi permanant marine layer overcast are key to really enjoying the place. Great people, but a lot of poverty. Non stop groundswell lines, little crowding, cool culture and low cost travelling make it a great trip if you don't mind wearing the 3/2 a lot.

Plenty of solid surf with minimal crowds.  :D

My son has been to Peru twice on surf trips.  From the pics and the stories of both trips...........I'll be make the trip.  Unbeleivable bargain if you shop the airfare.  Phenomenally consistant swell, and good people.
