  • I believe that y'all should definitely thank me for the waves since i spend the last week with a little bit of non elective surgery and I'll be out of action for the next month...Enjoy! :)

  • I can't remember the last time we had offshore wind with this many days of long period swell in a row.

Since Saturday I've taken some beatings, pulled into a lot of close outs and dodged a lot of traffic, but with patience came some really great waves.

  • I need to get back in the pool. Three 2 hour sessions Sunday killed me and that usually isnt a problem. I usually swim 2 or 3 mornings a week but took a break this summer because my wife broke 3 bones in her foot and was off her feet for 5 weeks. You can thank her for all the waves in June and early July. Anyway i had to be around in the mornings to make sure our 3 year old was up, dressed and fed before i head to work.

  • And it still continues. I'm prob. the strongest I've been in awhile. Paddle wise that is. I'm doing laps, paddle out surf in and repeat till exhausted.

I haven't had much luck either Seacliff. Mostly closeouts by me, I guess I need to travel

  • And yet, at least it was easy to get out and no drift (at least by me). A little counter balance to an aafternoon of dropping into chunky big closeouts. I went back out and bodysurfed a few. That was fun.

  • Yesterday morning was really fun, 2 strokes and an easy drop on solid head hi waves.

Sure, a lot of close outs but still had a blast riding a real short board on waves with power.

  • I too had my problems with the close outs Sat and Sun but know better than to blame my bad sessions on that , especially after seeing how effortlessly the unsOund pro's were tearing it up Sun. Really humbling but mad respect. Glad they got waves.

I walked the entire length of the boardwalk from 11-1 with the family, there were definitely spots working better than others.  It was kind of surprising that the contest block didn't look anywhere near as good as the blocks right next to it, even with semi-pros surfing it.

  • 12s is a good interval for the Nassau breaks. Not too many closeouts.
