funny, jet blue & DR sponsor it yet they don't allow boards on jet blue flights to the DR. that's some hipster level irony.* Please note: Oversized baggage will not be accepted on flights to/from the Dominican Republic.

Way to kill the good feelings with gratuitous negativity.Congrats to Mick Sowry, Matt Katsolis, Mark Temme and all the participants and thanks to Tyler, Mike, Morgan and Adam for all their incredible work on this. I hope this becomes an annual event.

I'd like to say Big Thanks to all the folks who worked so hard to put on an awesome event at a great venue! Big Thanks also to all the folks who came out to see "The Rocks". The great surf was a bonus and added depth to the whole experience. I took the writer/director of Musica Surfica, Mick Sowry for an early morning surf Sunday at LB and he was stoked on the waves and people there. It's kinda funny, I lent him a 6'4" I got from Pancho Sullivan (same one I'm on in my avatar) and someone crashed into him. There was a perfect 12" fin slice in the bottom of the board from that incident. I just laughed it off and made a comment about the benefits of surfing finless boards like in Musica Surfica. He'll remember some juice and power from his surf in NY.I'm also stoked I won 2 round trip tix to the DR with no charge for my board! Thanks again to all who helped make the NY Surf Film Festival a huge success.
