  • Anyone know the history of the Sundown brand? Sundown Surf in Levittown once had them made and labeled them. I had one in the early 80's. They tell me they don't think they had any more done since then and believe all theirs were made locally. Not sure if this is true but I'm assuming this means that they couldn't be pop outs which weren't around yet. Anyone know who supplied them or shaped them?

  • I'm sure @Seppo1 either knows or could find out.

  • I have one as well. A 6' single fin from the 70's. I believe Tony Channin made them as well as Bunger. Tony had a factory in Cali that shaped for a bunch of diff. labels.

No matter how hard you train, it all comes down to confidence.

  • Thanks guys, great info! Now I'll try some minor repairs when my glassing kit arrives tomorrow. Ironic how I surfed a Sundown when I was 18. Now, I find this old board that my son, also 18, will use as his first board. :)

    Cheers!
