very impressed by this movie.  saw it because there was nothing else to see at the local mall on a really hot night and was very pleasantly surprised.  apart from just laughing really hard, i was impressed by how adam sandler tackled such a sensitive poliitcal topic (israel-palestine conflict) through comedy. and then all of the humor about cultural stuff--immigrants, the american dream, was also spot on, sublte, and enjoyable.  also, it's just a good old, stupid comedy full of jokes about erections, farts, and hummus.

Thanks, uptown! Still not sure I'll get to see it- somehow I just never find myself at the movies - but if I'm gonna go, stupid comedy is gonna be the call.  Wink Roll Eyes

it was excellent and felt more like an old sandler movie with tons of hilarious nonsense and hilarious running themes all throughout the movie.  Amazing cast also.  Rob schneider even managed to be funny.  I was not planning on seeing it but a very trust worthy friend said it was amazing and offered to see it right on the spot for a second time.  We went.  totally worth it.

way better than expected. it managed to handle the whole Israeli/Palestinian thing without being offensive, which is shocking. You could totally see the influence of Sasha Baron Cohen in Sandler's performance. definitely worth seeing for comedy fans.
