Its all whacky lately, Seems like even when we get a swell its a very slow moving swell. I take out the shortboard & wish to heck I brought out the longboard. Is it just that we havent had a decent swell angle, the sandbars what? Im bugginout wishin I could get it in somethng fun & test it out. Ive never had a thruster like this before so its burning a whole in my quiver!!

The board when I did have it out, I noticed I had a hard time getting into the last minute drops. I found myself too far back on the tail. the board is way lighter then my old Byrne tho its a 6/5 compared to the 6/2 I had before so I was shocked that it wasnt a lil more floaty. Why do I seem to have trouble dropping in at the top of th lip last minute?

Is it just the mushyness of the waves till it throws over last second? I know when I did get it out, alotta decent surfers where getting tossed over the falls on their take offs but people like Looseness seem to stick that shiz fine.

Trying to move down in board size combined with crap waves multiplied by 15 pounds of rubber suit= Youll get it when we are all back in board shorts..

what are the dimensions? 6'5" doesn't say much.....some volume is important {to me} in a 6ml suit. Thickness, width, where the wide point is, and of course rocker. If it's too rockered out, it won't paddle that well.

What about yesterday morning, seemed like a 6'5" shortboard would have gone quite nicely?

I dont know, I wouldve sruggled to death on those waves this Monday. Super long draging waves with last second Jack ups. I just need to get more in tune with late drops I guess. It did suck the day of that pic, it got better a lil later but it wasnt working. I tried to ride it that day but blew like 100 waves. I talked to Shacky & he said he had the same problem that day & he's a sick shortboarder so it made me feel a lil better about it.
