Best Boards for Avg Rockaway Surf

  • What is the best recommended board for Rockaway Surf.  I am currently riding a 7'2" mini longboard, but am looking for  a board with a bit more performance.  any ideas???

  • Big 80s thrusters are great. My old Spectrum (a 6'6" shape like the one above with 2.75" rails) did a great job bridging the gap after 10 years of not really surfing.

    The Anderson Evolver is an excellent mix of funboard and thruster. A quick look at the tail and concaves indicates that this board is not a glider.
    So heavy you can't even pick it up.
