  • I finally got my shouldered MRI'd and the doctor also had me get the contrast shot for whatever reason.  I am have pain in the shoulder that was injected.  I am guessing this is normal from getting the shot.  The doctors office is closed and I'm curious if anyone else had the same reaction.  The internet search seems all over the place so i am looking for real answers not regurgitated google searches.  No offense. ;D

  • hi there. it's more than normal, specially if you were tense while u got the shot. also keep in mind that the contrast is a radioactive chemical, so you're body is probably not happy to have had that in there.
I just had an MRI done and refused to have the contrast. never heard from the dr. so im sure that they could look at the images without the contrast. the thing i hate about drs is that they will put us through things we sometimes dont need, on a just in case basis.

anyway, im no dr, but im sure you'll be ok soon.

    be well
