  • Love surfing with the boys out at the local spot when it's a bit overhead and FUN.
Watched my buddies just kill on SUPs and shortboards while I caught a few so-so ones.
    An inspiring display.
I got lucky as my thick Hawaiian buddy sees an outside set with me in position...."Geev Um!!!"
Spin, drop and it's LINED UP forever and I zip by all the boys on the 6'8" Rawson Bonzer magic stick as they scream at the top of their lungs almost as stoked as I am.
As an added bonus, one of the asshat locals dropped in on me on a pretty nice one and I shamed his whack ass to the beach. I'm not a regulator by nature but I had to lay down the law and I doubt this jackass will ever surf anywhere near me in the near future.

Ha, nice, Ed. On a rare occasion I've grabbed a nice one in front of a crowd of accomplished locals - and you're right, it def gives a jolt to the stoke!

As for putting an asshat in his place - well, no - never done it. I think I'm far better off just concentrating on not being the asshat.  ;) ::)

  • More of the same today on the SUP. The longest lefts i've ever surfed on the SUP. Set wave after set wave after set wave glide and swoop for 100 yard ride after 100 yard ride.....Micks was holding it down as well from the Sovereign Republic of Kauai from what I hear. ;)

  • Oh man, Im toasted..... 3hr sesh..lost count of waves...oil glass...honu's and a monk seal the only ones around except me and a few friends. New board is epic. Big enough to glide in easily and do some cross steppin fetchin but pulled and foiled enough to put that puppy on rail and do full roundhouse cutties into whitewater rebounds and back again....over and over..... Classic morning, it does not get better ;D

Some days it's an SUP, some days it's a shortboard or a gun when it's big. I guess I never thought about "piping" another man. Tell me, Triente, is that your thing?

It's a "stoke room". How about keeping your negative bullsh1t the fvck out.
Now, back to tales of stoke.
