  • you forgot to mention how warm the water is. I literally just froze my butt off walking from my driveway to my front door. The sesh sounds great but please remind us of the warmth.

  • Yup. Warm water to boot. Haha.

Did you SUP or surf today, BB?
You're coming to Maui this winter still?
If so, you'll dig the kiting/SUPing/surfing scene.
    Pretty good skateparks as well.

  • My Bro-in-Law just got back from Maui, he's in a lot of cold pain right now.

Still too dark pre and post work but it's getting lighter as I drive home. I'm still jazzed off of my x-mass kook sesh and I realized I was sore two days later. You really do work hard SUP'ing.

I've been reading/YouTube'ing as much as I can about SUP'ing. I'm kind of proud I could paddle jetty to jetty on a choppy day. Fingers crossed, Maui in March! STOKED

If you find yourself on Oahu and you want to have an SUP(or regular surf) session, you should look me up. You can borrow one of mine. I even have an extra paddle.

    Stay warm.

It's all about near perfect swell direction. It gives you a nice "runway" that drops and drops(you don't bottom turn for a good 3 or 4 seconds) before making a bottom turn and then you carve the wall a bit for a few hundred feet. Every so often you look over your shoulder and say"hmmm, this wave is pretty good size".
