Registration now open for the August 23-26 Surfboard Design and Construction course at Brookdale's Tinton Falls, NJ, campus. Classes run 6-9pm for four consecutive nights. Hands on course covers both modern and traditional surfboard design (planshape, foil, rocker, rails, bottom contours, etc.) and construction (materials selection, shaping techniques, tools, etc.). Students participate in the entire process, from start to finish (shaping, glassing, artwork, hardware install...), with names drawn from a hat on the last night to determine who takes the new stick home.
