definitely put in the quad set up. that will give you more gas as soon as you stand. (disclaimer, i only have "twinzer knowledge") also, tits is so on the $$$. to avoid the really big bottom turn, which is what makes me fall behind the peak time and time again, super angle your take off and DIG HARD. you have to make up for the lost length of the LB by paddling harder than you even think you can. i feel like when i don't do that i end up kinda late and then doing a lame bottom turn etc etc anyway, i say this like it is so easy...i only got "straights" yesterday b/c of the hideous wind.
Its really nt the paddling. I had the Byrne & it was shorter & I didnt have these issues. I actually rode the Byrne quite well. This board is so different. Confuses the living crap outta me. Im def going to try the quad set up. Maybe its just a better board for that set up. Cant ait to try it.

these guys just hopped on my bandwagon so you're saying there's a little train going on here with all this advice about how hard to make up for the length and avoid big bottom and reach the peak in a timely matter - and that you ain't the caboose - if you know what i mean..

Psycho and I talked about this in the water, but you gotta remember that the Byrne was a surftech and was much floatier. On top of that, as a fish I'll bet the Byrne had much less entry rocker. This would also make it easier to padde. Finally, your board might have some lift in the tail which, if you aren't used to it, can make things tricky in bigger waves (head-plus) if you aren't used to it.
I went through the same stuff with my SDII. It has a lot of lift in the tail and I was frustrated as hell when I first started riding it. I rode it almost exclusively for about a month and now I have it wired.

The technical capability of the cubic circonium diameter and perimeter on top of the scientific notion of the foam composite is a continuous jibber jabber of surf boardology. In order to achieve maximum acheivement velocity of the finology technology. the diameter and curvature of the planet combined with the wind direction and speed with achieve the intensity required to do so.

Could be, Ive actually talked about that with Shacky & bride. He said, maybe its just not yur thing, Bride jumped in & said, It better be, It was al most $700. beans! then she retracted & said, no I know, Ive heard you guys talk about how sometimes it just isnt your deal. But I just dont wanna throw that out there untill I get used to it, slim down a bit & take it out on somemore waves. I was just getting the hang of it last week when the wind just started killing my session. We'll see. If not, I'll post it on Craigslist for like $3000.00 becuase its got a painting on the bottom. lol!

Problem solved! Yahoo! Its just made to be a quad. once I changed it, it was like I got a brand new board. I still need some tuning on my sweet spot but got some killer lil wavos with Goth & Seb70 & came out of the water stoked!
