my personal trainer has been making me run lately. he had me run for two miles around campus, i thought i was going to die. 10k with obstacles sounds nuts.

I prefer running with obstacles rather than straight for some reason. BTW on sunday night I rode my beach cruiser from manhattan to the R*ck!

I like the idea of obstacles but 10 kilometers of them (which is like a little under 7 miles, right?) sounds painful.

like 2 months before that race i said to myself i would start running (i never run)... i did like 2 miles at a time on the treadmil at my gym maybe twice a week for 2 weeks haha then i took to the road... its very hilly by me so i did an ambitious 4 mile run... then after a week when the feeling came back in my legs i did the run again... i was having IT band issues with my right leg so i stopped training (4 weeks before the race) and just went into the race cold turkey... was pretty surprised at my cardio condition - i guess from all the surfing.  i wasnt even sore after the race.  i think it was the soft ground that helped... and the obstacles distracted you from the actual length of the run..

fun fun fun... the next one is on my 30th bday in october haha F' THAT!!!
