4,090 dead as of today.
Start a new thread. This one is about giving thoughts and prayers to those in uniform
overseas. Good stuff, Psycho.

Dont think Lotus meant any disrespect whatsoever, just a reminder that this is as serious as serious gets.

I know it's possible that some are numb to all of it, but we just cant allow it to set in - thanks again to everyone who is out there for all of us - our prayers are with you.

Words can't express my gratitude, respect, and admiration for the honorable men and women that are serving or have served in the armed forces.

Sorry I misundrstood your intention. It's just that 99% of anti-war sentiment starts with the death toll.... Just didn't want this thread to go in that direction as this is about Jimbo and the boys putting themselves in harm's way.
As Psycho said, whether or not we're anti-war, we need to give our soldiers and vets(living and dead) our utmost respect and gratitude.

I appreciate all the good words from every one... Tom, I can't wait to take you up on your offer, I'll be in NYC somewhere around the middle of August.

4090 dead, but remember all the guys who have been through there as well, I see what you meant with your post.

I was just talking about supporting those who are still fighting. I'm glad that this forum exists to put word out like that to an open minded people. I can't wait to get home.

39 days at sea, and finally there's an end at sight. Couple days till a BADASS port call, then a couple days back to Japan. I'll fill you all in on where I've been and what I've been doing once we get there.

Expect a drunk (and I MEAN DRUNK) post from our libo port next week.

Aloha to all, and remember americasupportsyou.mil, buy some one a beer.

Hey every one, just wanted to bring this back to the top, all still applies to us this 4th of July weekend.

For all who don't know the fill ins to my original blanks, I was on the USS Essex, which was the ship that sat off Burma for 5 weeks waiting to help those people out, the call that we never recieved.

I want to wish every one a happy Independance Day. I hope that every one has a great weekend. I'm in Japan still at the moment, but you can be I'll be celebrating the hell out of being in America (kind of, but not really) in two more weeks.

Aloha
