or any other board that has a pressurization plug.

When and why should I repressurize my board (if that is even a word)?

As far as I know - barring an injury to the board where you need to drain it, the only time you need to open the plug is when you're putting the board in cargo on an aircraft - the temperature and pressure swing in the cargo hold could "blow out" the board. I'd assume that if you were forced to leave the board in a boiling hot car, it wouldnt be a bad idea, either, tho...

We have a couple of the older hydro epic boards with screw in plugs.  we leave them undone most of the time and just screw them in after putting the board in the water enough to change the temperature inside the board.  then we unscrew them once we get out of the water.  I think the technology has changed a bit since these models came out, but thats what we were told to do.

Firewires have a Gortex membrane incorporated into the plug so it constantly equalizes the pressure.
You don't have to do anything with them. I don't know about the other brands.

you have to plug in the board to an outlet in order to charge it. within about 12 hours the board is fully charged and ready to shred.

Got my first FireWire ding, courtesy of our very own elkistheboarddinger. Wondering if an Aviso would have held up better. Seacliff, can I please borrow your Doc Aviso next time I surf with Elk? ;-)
