Wow, looks great.  Get that thing wet and let us know how she goes.  When can we order one?

From the rocker shot, it looks like you got the foil pretty close.  That must have been a pain in the arse.  How about a side by side with the comet?

Here they are side by side. Mine is 1/8" thicker and the deck is a little flatter. Prolly more volume towards the tail.

Wow, turned out great Mark. Was just talking to my bro about this board yesterday.  How about posting some of the 'in progress' pictures?

I didn't take pictures of the build process this time since I have already done some build process threads on here.

Here is a link for the build of the Performance log you have been riding. Pretty detailed and long.   http://www.nynjsurf.com/forum/empty-t4814.0.html;msg60518;topicseen#msg60518

Mark was kind enough to let me take few waves on this board Sunday morning and while the waves weren't particularly thrilling, I did find a thigh-waist high line that was walled up enough that I could get a feel for the board and it is quite fun, pretty loose/responsive, and fast, {squirrelly Mark calls it}. I imagine the lightness of the board contributes to the loose feel quite a bit.

Thanx for the review Looseness. Def. "squirrelly" to me after riding tankers for most of my surfing career. It rides pretty much like the original and I have to say i felt pretty sporty after Sunday's sesh even though the waves sucked.

"Sporty" "Squirely"...These are British vernacular in the family of the shortboard no?  Perhaps Mr. Mark E will be pulling airs on his light ass replica by summers end?

I don't know about airs but you might see some "bum wiggling" by summer's end.
