I absolutely did - thanks for the heads up!!! Surfed pretty much all by myself the whole time while the pack just to the west sipped coffee, talked to each other, and battled for waves. Stunning that there was a pack of people there! It was breaking really nicely at multiple spots up and down the beach!!

I've requested the morning off from work, so I will make it 

i don't think so, but i'm having trouble remembering sunday. i think saturday, yes, but it was pretty craptastic saturday. sunday, surfed closer to home. iggyp - which guy are you? did we surf together sunday? or maybe SC went out a second time without us? are you a neighbor and i'm completely not connecting screen name with real person?  hopefully you will get some tomorrow

It was Onefin, SC and you in LB around 11 to 1 on Sunday... two other guys left shortly after I paddled in.  I've been going to that jetty for about 3 years when I see crowds W of it...and i feel it's just as good as the other

love the rottie! i can't, for the life of me, remember the early sess on sunday. i think i had a really bad session. we went back out further west, closer to our house, later in the day. cleaned up and got a lot better. nice to meet you iggyp. i'll look for the rottie next time

Lil' fishin', lil' loggin'. Fun 3hr sesh.


At one point I found myself by the jetty with no one deeper than me when a head high wave showed up. First long ride on a head high wave on my 5'10" fish. It felt great but I know it will be a long time before I find myself in that position again.

argh - waves weren't even on my mind this AM (been underwater in other ways) until I saw a neighbor peddling home wet and (I think) smiling.  by the time I looked at it it was all filled in anyway.

6 hours , surfed a high tide spot at first and if you waited for the sets it was very rippable . Dropping tide a few clean barrels in between drop ins

I had a great session from 4pm to dark and didn't freeze my ass off.  Surfing with a friend keeps pussy cat away!!  Really fun rights and lefts with some really nice head high sets every 20.  Definitely lots of fun minus the donkey that was paddling back out after a really nice wave and then turned at the last minute and snaked me.  Lame.  Can't we all get some???

quick well timed breaks coupled with hot shower rinses and back out

it was actually more fun than it looked by us this AM. but, i decided to mix it up and try the pavel speed-dialer or whatever it's called. definitely not for me. tracks like it's on rails. well, it was an experiment. at the end i made onefin trade me for the walker fish - that was a lot more fun, but i was over the sess and had to get to work. my takeaway: frockets rule.
