    Surf Day in Rockaway 2009!
    B90th Street - Sunday, November 1st, 2009 11am - 4pm (Rain Date: Sunday, November 8th)

    Five Great Events!

    Board Swap and Sale!
    Bring your new and used surf gear – buy, sell and trade at NYC’s biggest board swap of the year!

    5th Annual Rockumentary Photo Shoot!
    Be a part of the annual Tradition! Grab your board and be a part of the picture! On the beach at B90th at 12Noon, Sharp!

    Coat the Coast: Rockaway Surfers Coat Drive
    All surfers are encouraged to bring your old, gently worn winter coats, scarves and gloves and
    help keep our community warm! All coats to be donated to local charities!

    Surfers for the Hungry Food Drive
    Bring canned goods and non-perishables and help feed the hungry in our community!
    All food donated goes to St. Mary’s Food Pantry – B19th, St, Rockaway Beach!

    Surfrider –NYC Chapter Beach Cleanup and LNG Paddleout!
    Clean the beach, then paddle out in protest of proposed LNG Island off our coast! Following the Photoshoot!

    • Thought you should know that Jill Weber, NYC Parks Dept., Park Manager for Rockaway was kind enough to designate this as a fundraiser for charity and decided no permit was required.  Also, she is donating a couple of winter coats and wished us luck with the event.

    Photoshoot assembly is 1:30, photoshoot itself is 2PM - you'll be back in time, NYCWO!! There's no way we're doing this without you, my friend!!!
